By browsing this website, booking an appointment, or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

01 About Us

Deepak & Madhu Bhartia is a luxury menswear house specialising in bespoke tailoring and hand-embroidered couture, based at DA22, Sector-I, Salt Lake, Kolkata – 700064, West Bengal, India. You can reach us using the contact details at the end of this page.

02 Products & Services

We offer made-to-measure and bespoke menswear, including suits, blazers, wedding and occasion wear, and hand-embroidered couture, along with related styling consultations and alterations. As our pieces are crafted by hand, slight variations in fabric, colour, embroidery and finish are a natural characteristic of artisanal work and are not considered defects.

03 Appointments & Consultations

• Appointments may be requested by phone, WhatsApp, or the enquiry form on our website. A request is confirmed only once we acknowledge it directly.
• Please arrive on time for fittings. If you are unable to attend, kindly inform us in advance so we may reschedule.
• Walk-ins are welcome subject to availability, though appointments are recommended for bespoke commissions.

04 Orders, Pricing & Payment

• Prices are quoted at the time of consultation and may vary based on fabric, design, embroidery and detailing.
• A deposit may be required to commence a bespoke commission, with the balance payable before delivery or collection, unless otherwise agreed.
• All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to revise prices at any time before an order is confirmed.

05 Made-to-Measure & Alterations

Bespoke garments are cut and crafted to measurements taken or approved by you. It is your responsibility to ensure these measurements and design choices are accurate at the time of confirmation. Complimentary or chargeable alterations, where applicable, will be agreed during your fitting.

06 Cancellations, Returns & Refunds

• Because bespoke and made-to-measure pieces are produced specifically for you, they are generally non-refundable and non-exchangeable once production has begun.
• If a garment has a genuine manufacturing defect, please notify us promptly upon collection or delivery and we will repair or remedy it at our discretion.
• Any deposit may be non-refundable once materials have been sourced or work has commenced.

07 Delivery & Collection

Estimated timelines for completion are shared during consultation and are indicative. While we make every effort to meet agreed dates, timelines may be affected by the complexity of hand-embroidery, fabric availability, or circumstances beyond our control.

08 Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including the Deepak & Madhu Bhartia name, logo, designs, photographs, video and text — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or use any of it without our prior written permission.

09 Limitation of Liability

This website is provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the website or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10 Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kolkata, West Bengal.
